OpenID - An innovation

First let me explain you that OpenID is the open, decentralised user authentication. By using OpenID we can access many sites without remembering all id and password. That one OpenID can be ur one true login. OpenID authenticate user without sharing his password with other sites.

Today when i was looking at all the providers of OpenID i found most of them from USA and not a single from India. Its true that this concept came from US but now India bring lots of innovation in the field of web with many R&D centers and web startups. So i hope that Indian web companies like Rediff and Sify will also bring their OpenID.

OpenID is an innovative concept but not that widely use because it lack in services. Most of the sites i use are providers of OpenID but do not allow other OpenID to access their services. Like bloggers allow us to use blog link as OpenID but to login we require Google account. So where to use these IDs is a big trouble and the organisation should bring new services.

Even this open a door for startups which can make these services (blog, social network, movies, job portal etc) available by using an OpenID (not by creating an account on there website).

Clash Of The Titans

I saw the movie “Clash of the titans”. A short and best of special effects, all in all a good movie to watch. But the most interesting part is the showcase of “Man Vs God”. Really many people are not happy with what they have and since all things in this world are given by God do they are unhappy with God. But still we pray God and ask for his blessings.

The movie showcase that God needs the Man’s prayers to gain strength. Is that means God don’t satisfy us so that we pray, but this can’t be right as most of us don’t forget to pray even when something good happens to us.

The message i got from the movie is that we should trust God and pray for the good as he will shower the best of blessings whenever we need.

Foreign participation in Telecom and Internet

Telecom and Internet is spreading and growing at the faster rate in India. These two are the frontrunner for Indian Growth. Foreign Investment works as initiator of rapid development.

I hope that if we increase foreign participation in Telecom and Internet, it will beneficial for economy. Telecom requires large money for buying spectrum and this means more money for government for developing rural areas. Apart from that telecom rular reach will involve job for the poor.

We also know that indian web companies (Rediff, Sify, 123Greetings, etc.) are not a big name on global front like google, yahoo, msn and aol. So, if we allow and bring more foreign web companies R&D centre to India then it will increase the probability for engineers to learn and start their own company. One recommendation is that web company hub should not be setup in IT city as the best talent of that area went tio IT companies. If we create a web city which has good engineers and its not a IT city, will create an atmosphere of www and people will be more focused on that and will surely discover better ideas and technology in websites than google, yahoo, etc.

Rediff do big marketing and variety of product, but its lack in technology and new and innovative ideas which can only be achieve by recruiting best engineers and also people with better understanding with the web.

I hope to see a Indian search engine, mail, blog, maps, docs, etc becoming global best and popular.

Is new web browser really important???

When we go to facebook, we go out there to chat, get the updates of our friends and give them some updates about us. We want facebook as site to offer more features for doing them more easily and quickly. So its really matter through what browser i do so.

For some internet company who make the browser more personalised like MSN - Internet Explorer and Google - Chrome, might matter for there fans. While others which are open sourse like Firefox and Opera which are general for all sites, do they matter. Yahoo personalise IE and Firefox, so they now do not require to have a browser for there own. Secondary, I also have a question that technology offered by these browser, like faster speed and crash guard etc, really make a big difference as all browsers have almost same qualities with minor difference and others who don’t are improving.

Most important if browser really matter then why we change our browser but not OS which is also available with better security Linux and better multimedia access MAC. The reason is simple we are habitual and we really can’t afford a change to our habits for this minor benefits. But when it comes to browser its easy to that as they have a minor difference in feel and look so what is the need of using another browser.

When i was thinking all this i found an answer that the simple reason is “We get bored”. Its only that we need change other than that i don’t think we require to install other browser for such minor change of speed etc.

If the browser needs to stay then they are require to change and update themselves on regular basis else they will thrown out of the market by consumers who will feel boring of using same kind of browser.

3G in UP(E)

As the auction continues on Day2, we saw that demand for UP(E)(142cr) is less than Rajasthan(144cr). But i want to talk about the three licence that will be fetch by three private players. I think they will be Pan India Winner(Bharti and Reliance) and UP(E) leader by markey share - Vodafone (which may not win in some circle).

As i told in the previous blog post at varunway.blogspot.com that Vodafone leads with 43% market share in UP(E) so they will not let losing this circle as they are required to improve the service in this circle. 3G not only means faster internet and Video Calling but also also means better quality of 2G sevices. 3G will be helpful in removing disconnection of calls and congestion in the network. It will help Vodafone to make new subscribers as it will have more spectrum with better quality of service.

Since Vodafone is leading 2G provider so can’t take risk of not owning a 3G licence.
